Monument on the Hill

Historical information is often presented in a particular way – heavy with scribe-like fonts and many dark, rich colors. This style has been over used, especially when it comes to the history of the beginnings of the United States of America, which leads to information being presented in a disengaging way. The concept behind this infographic is to present the history of the Capitol Dome in a new and contemporary way that younger generations would find engaging, while still harkening back to history. This was accomplished through merging the use of imagery and type choices that reference history with bright and bold elements and color.
